Mr David Lamb
Welcome to Elm Tree Primary School
On behalf of all our Elm Tree family I would like to welcome you to the school website. I hope that it gives you a flavour of our school community and a preview of the wonderful people that make our community so special. I am proud to be the Headteacher of a school which is so passionate about meeting all children’s needs and constantly moving forwards to make sure that we are doing the best for all of our families.
At Elm Tree we pride ourselves on providing an exciting and stimulating curriculum that engages all our children and allows us to meet the individual needs of each and every child. We are a caring school where each child is valued as an individual and their achievements, big or small, are recognised and celebrated.
All staff work hard to provide the best for our children, families and the community. If you would like to see a snap shot of life at Elm Tree School then please visit our Galleries page to see what exciting things our children have been doing.
Elm Tree School opened in September 2008 as a new community special school to cater for children who have a statement for Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. We currently have 158 pupils on roll across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Over the last few years, there has been a change in our school population with an increase in the number of pupils on roll and in the complexity of pupils’ needs. As a school we have embraced these changes, ensuring that we are constantly focused on meeting the changing needs of our children. This has led to separate pathways for our children which ensure that we are able to meet the individual needs of all our pupils.
I hope that our website provides you with all the information you need. We aim to ensure the school website provides up-to-date information to keep you informed about what we are doing, whether you have a child at our school, are the parent of a prospective pupil or just interested in the work we do.
If you would like to visit our school, please contact us to make the necessary arrangements.
